Throughout his life, Craig was known for his determination, hard work, and genuine mentorship, always eager to share his expertise and provide opportunities for others in the industry. A true visionary, Craig's passion for community and commitment to excellence established Hawai‘i Stage as the largest locally-owned event production company in the state.
In 2023, Craig entrusted Hawai‘i Stage to the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) to carry forward his legacy of community support. Today, with CNHA’s guidance, Hawai‘i Stage continues to honor Craig’s vision, proudly serving as Hawai‘i’s premier provider of event production services.
In 1963, Craig Maddocks began his journey in electronics, lighting, and sound engineering, laying the groundwork for what would become a cornerstone of Hawai‘i’s entertainment industry. With his wife, Virginia, Craig founded Hawai‘i Stage and Lighting.
